2009 Design NSW: Travelling Scholarship

Design NSW is offering a $18,000 scholarship for budding designers. Here is a quick round up.

The Scholarship is open to designers working in the broad areas of product and communication design (including for the home, industry and the body). The Scholarship is not intended for established designers or designers working in the built environment (including architecture and landscape architecture).

THE SCHOLARSHIP

The Design NSW: Travelling Scholarship winner will receive:

• $18,000 as financial support for a program of professional development overseas.
• Support and advice from British Council staff, including the facilitation of up to eight introductions to leading practitioners relevant to the winner’s field.
• Announcement during Sydney Design 09, inclusion in the festival program and coverage on D’Hub

   The intellectual and cognitive abilities of the student are strengthened, but other facets like interpersonal skills, sensitivity, and initiative, are more or less ignored. ,
