Whether you  own a small company or are working as freelancer, you have to manage your projects, task, clients, invoice etc at least sometime. This is the part I hate the most about working in design and ironically I work as a producer during the day!

That said, project management or any sized task is a really a tuff task if you don’t have the right tools. So after years of searching, I want to share with you some good online project management tools with web2.0 touch.

All your information is on a single screen which means you can manage your tasks, share messages and files, track progress and generate reports all within a click or two.You can even drag-and-drop tasks from one project to another, drag messages and files between projects and tasks or even drag objects into a trash can icon for a quick removal.
5pm allows you to timeline projects, run timesheet reports, link to email and Google docs and more. You will need to pay for all of this eventually but you get a 14 day free trial first. The Free trial comes with a big users/projects limit, so you can decide later what paid plan will work for you. But it comes with a small file storage space.

ZCOPE

zcope1Ok so this puppy may not be free but it’s packed full of enough features to make the 19 euro per month price tag for a starter package seem okay, plus you get 30 days free to figure out if it floats your boat.

ZCOPE is a simple and secure web-service for managing projects and tasks, team communication and document sharing. With this platform you can immediately see what the team is doing and what is going on in the project.  The easy to use drag-&-drop interface allows you to plan, control and report your tasks quickly. The timesheet system allows you to control the level of completion and your efforts and you can create a timeplan for your project by using milestones and dates. To top this of ZCOPE has the functionlity to upload new documents, create new versions and share them with your team and use the project Blog to talk about ideas, problems or any other topic.

    Another great online project management tool that is SantexQ. It focuses on time and task management, so if it’s great if you need a simple and straight forward solution. It’s definitely one of the most affordable ones out there too – $10 a month for all the features, like a punch clock and file uploads!
